Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Every tour's directions and written narration work without one. An account is only needed to subscribe to Marcus's voice or to resume a tour on a different phone.

Does it work without cell service?

Directions and narration need a connection. Offline downloads for a whole tour are planned for after launch.

Marcus isn't talking when I reach a stop.

Check that the app has location permission (Settings → StrollTour → Location → While Using). Downtown, tall buildings can throw GPS off by a few dozen meters; tap the stop on the map to play it manually.

Something Marcus said is wrong.

Tell us. Every landmark is researched from primary sources, and we correct errors within days. Email the stop name and what was wrong to hello@strolltour.ai.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions.

I run a hotel, school, or university.
